To communicate the Outback’s unique ability to transition seamlessly from wild terrains to city streets, Subaru Global sought to capture the heart of the modern explorer. The campaign needed to reach a global audience that values both adventure and sophistication, all while respecting cost constraints and the security of showcasing unreleased models.

STRATEGY
We designed a campaign that placed the Outback at the center of a story tailored for its drivers. For the Outback, being rugged and capable isn’t just about traversing trails; it’s about elevating daily life, be it a mountain vista or an upscale evening downtown. Our approach used CGI to bring this vision to life, allowing us to customize colors, options, and configurations, creating a bespoke view of the Outback that speaks to every driver’s unique journey.

EXECUTION
CGI technology let us craft visually rich scenes with remarkable depth and authenticity, positioning the Outback within both vast, untamed landscapes and sleek, urban backdrops. Paired with real-world backplates and HDRI dome lighting, the CGI-rendered Outback appeared to be genuinely embedded in its environment, whether set against a misty waterfall on Iceland’s backroads or city streets glowing with evening lights, this approach wasn’t just cost-efficient—it unlocked possibilities, allowing us to convey the Outback’s versatility with striking detail and customization that makes every image feel personal.
